SNSD’s YoonA who become a member of honor society on the first day of new year, “25 Years old Honor….don’t make fun of me because I’m young♪”
The first person to become a member of Honor Society in Seoul in year 2015. A heartwarming news came out just when the new year began. The reason why YoonA’s entry received many attention is because she is much younger compared to other members of Honor Society, it could also be due to the fact that she has been helping the needy quietly for 5 consecutive years.

YoonA’s reason of choosing to stay anonymous during that period of time is because she do not want people to put the attention on her rather than placing attention on the value of sharing itself. Because YoonA is worried that her fame will overshadow the value of sharing, she insisted on this point when she was first invited by the Seoul Community Chest to join Honor Society. Later on, she felt that this could be a good opportunity to spread the spirit of sharing, so she finally decided to join Honor Society. Because of her joining this organisation, her charity deeds over the years were also revealed. YoonA said: “I think it is important to to share this with many people. With the arrival of year 2015, i hope i am able do my small part of spreading the culture of sharing through joining Honor Society.” She continued: “Just like before, I will continue to help the underprivileged through sharing.”
Fans replaced birthday presents with charity donations for YoonA’s birthday
Fans who are influenced by YoonA’s spirit of sharing gathered funds to do donations instead of giving YoonA birthday presents. During concerts/dramas press conferences they will also send rice wrealths, continuing the value of sharing and expanding it to the whole Asia.
