150224 SNSD′s Yoona Shares on Graduating College After Six Years

Girls′ Generation (SNSD)′s Yoona shared her thoughts on graduating after six years. 

On February 24, Yoona attended the graduation ceremony of Dongguk University. After enrolling in Dongguk University′s College of Arts in 2009, Yoona graduated after six years. 

Through her agency, SM Entertainment, Yoona stated, "I′m saddened that I couldn′t spend a lot of time with my seniors, juniors and colleagues." 

She added, "But I′m really happy to be attending the graduation ceremony." 

With her model school life and vigorous activities outside of the university, Yoona was acknowledged as a figure that allowed the school to shine, enabling her to recieve the Achievement Award. 

"I′m slightly embarrassed and thankful to even receive the Achievement Award," said Yoona. "I′ll continue to work hard in the future as well."

150223 Shinhwa Wants to Collaborate with SNSD on a Trot Song

With so many juniors in the music industry now, the Shinhwa members chose who they wanted to collaborate with. 

Shinhwa appeared on MBC′s Section TV on February 22, talking about a wide range of subjects from its upcoming new album to its nude album from 14 years ago.

When asked which junior girl group they would like to collaborate with, Lee Min Woo answered, "We think we′ll match well with SNSD, whom we′re close to." 

As a follow-up question, reporter Park Seul Gi asked what genre of music they′re interested in for the collaboration, and Jun Jin replied, "Trot," making everyone burst out laughing. 

The members also shared their hopes of winning number one on the music programs of all three major broadcast stations. 

Shinhwa will release its 12th album We on February 26.

[NEWS] SNSD Hyoyeon Investigated by Police for Hitting Male Friend

Along with all the pranks that occurred on April Fool’s Day, news of a Girls’ Generation member getting investigated for assault slipped in. 

On April 1, the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul stated that a member of SNSD was investigated by police on the night of March 30. The story goes that Hyoyeon and a male friend were playing around at an acquaintance’s second floor house in Seobbinggo when the issue happened. 

Hyoyeon joked to the male friend that she was going to jump off, and as the male friend tried to hold her back, she tried to push him away from her, hitting him near the eye during the process. 

The male friend called the police for an assault charge. The male friend and Hyoyeon were investigated by police twice on March 30 and March 31. 

The male friend said during the police investigation, “I reported it saying I got hit while we were playing around, but after I thought about it again, I don’t think she hit me on purpose.”

The police also stated, “Since it was reported, we processed the charge, but because the entire case was just a happening, we concluded as ‘cleared of suspicion of assault.’

SM Entertainment later stated in a press release on April 1, "Hyoyeon was playing around with a friend when the joke escalated and a misunderstanding happened, leading to the police report. But the misunderstanding was cleared up and ended as an incident. We′ll be more careful to not create misunderstandings."

The agency added that the police told the two to not play around too seriously.
